I love Gojira
This is the best Godzilla I have ever seen; and I watch him all the time! Gojira is an excellent movie in which the Japanese show the viewer what actually did happen at Hiroshima and Nagasaki. It is genuinely frightening during the scenes of destruction; especially with small vignettes like the woman who tells her children, "We will be with your father soon," as they huddle in a corner. It is in ...

Another Vin Diesel Masterpiece. Owns Scarface and 007!
After the ultra action packed Fast and the Furious, I was curious to see how many more movies Vin could put out with excitement. Wow! This movie was amazing. The plot was the most original I've seen in a while and Vin did an amazing job at acting once again. I think we need more movies like this in the theaters.!

The Biggest Bond of All
I was around for this Bond films original release, you cannot imagine the excitement it engendered. Multiply this summer's excitement over "The Dark Knight" by 2. In terms of 1965 dollars, it is still the highest-grossing Bond. People were waiting out in the December cold at 8am in the morning the day it opened. Like Goldfinger before it, it played at various theaters 24 hours a day. Tons of ...

Classic Comedy
You know, I've seen this thing reviewed anywhere from one to five stars and I find that amusing. This is a classic comedy and one of those rare movies that simply gets better and better as it goes along. This is up there with Slapshot, No time for Sergeants, and A Night at the Opera. The moments that are clever and funny in this movie are as clever and as funny as a movie can get. It's ...

Humble man who did great things!
This is the story of a humble man who, not of his own choosing, stubbernly was called upon to make one of the most serious decisions of any man: Drop the first nuclear weapons devised by man to save lives. The portrayal by Gary Sinse and others was excellent and noteworthy to see it again, and again!

Afganistan before it became fashionable
This film is an absolute genious of screenwriting, directing and acting. Charlie Wilson is an obscure congressman from Texas whose office is saturated with young female assistants seemingly ditzy but highly loyal to him; he is well connected with people of (financial) means and powerul social network. Charlie is a smart goofball - man who is astute is ways of holding (his political) power, but ...

My First Blu-ray - Thoughts from a former HD DVD person
This is my first Blu-Ray, and while my expectations were somewhat high, especially since I'm a former HD DVD exclusive consumer, they were completely met by this presentation. Granted, I'm already a big fan of this movie, which I consider to potentially be one of my favorites. Despite that, I had heard of the issues with the first round of this movie and I'm pleasantly reporting that the ...

Let me pick up my jaw before writing this review...
Wow. WOW! I apologize but I'm still blown away by the content in this video. There has been a lot covered in other reviews so I'll just give you my experience with this video and how it's help me. I'll also restate the best aspects of this video. I did my share of research before purchasing this video and just about everyone exclaimed how amazing it is. Well, look at the reviews here on ...

the Anti-"Magnolia"
No Aimee Mann songs, no tear jerker scenes. It's LA, and it's the end of the world. Huge cast. Epic set-up. Huge budget. Did terrible at the box office, and even now has a growing army of fans. 10 years from now, it'll probably be shown regularly at college campuses at midnight, with people showing up dressed as different characters from the film, and shouting the lines at the screen. It's ...

Loved the movie so much I paid full price on Amazon
Loved the movie so much I paid full price on Amazon. I love this movie for it's realistic and believable look at the irony of weapons dealing. It also points out the hypocrisy of certain democratic African countries. Also showed the hypocrisy of the USA that looks down on those countries. Also shows us there good people can do evil things when they have to.

An excellent movie. Top notch performances from Gene Hackman, Dentzel Washington and supporting cast make this movie worth watching time and again. Hans Zimmer's musical scores add depth. This movie looks outstanding on Blu-ray. I also had the regular WS DVD.

RICHARD DONNER ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The script, the acting, Marlon Brando...all combined- cannot even touch the Superman II that was released in America back in the early 80's. After seeing this version of the film, I want a refund for seeing the other one. You can't even commpare the two. It's like comparing an Academy Award Winning Film to Sesame Street. The CEO of Warner Bros. should have been put in jail or fired for ...

Very Good Show and DVD Set!
Human Weapon is a show that aired late last year on the History Channel and is hosted by martial arts fighter Jason Chambers and former football pro Bill Duff. They put their bodies on the line in every episode of this show and it was entertaining and informative on every style of fighting they learned. The best part of each episode was the end where one of the two hosts would take on a master in ...

One of the top Male Action Series
What more can be said. The Lethal Weapon series is one of the best Male action guy movies ever made. The fight scene at the end of original Lethal Weapon IMHO is one of thee best ever! Then the people in the past future movies go back to the first (what happened to his girlfriend), and more. Mel Gibson and Danny Glover should of stayed with the Lethal Weapon series, however with DVD ...

Singin' & Dancin' in Dogpatch
Musical: From Broadway to Hollywood Shadow Watcher Nobody Drowns in Mineral Lake Al Capp's classic comic strip about the bizarre residents of the hillbilly town of Dogpatch was brought to life in this delightful 1959 musical, adapted from the Broadway stage hit. Lyricist Johnny Mercer and composer Gene de Paul contributed many bouncy tunes that were sung by Peter Palmer as Abner, Leslie ...
