Finally Troy,Sandara,and Connie on DVD
I have been waiting for years for these movies to be issued on DVD. I saw them all first run and loved them. I only hope that unlike the Gidget collection that these will all be issued in in their original widescreen format.

It happened to me!
"Nothing but trouble" is not really a movie, it is a documentary disguised as a movie so that the real judge and his accomplices would not murder Dan Aykroid. These people really exist and they live in Texas. One day, while I was driving trough a certain Texan town (that shall remain unnamed) an awkwardly obese cop stopped me for no reason. When I was asked for my occupation I mentioned "bank ...

You ask why I gave this movie 5 stars?
I gave this film 5 stars because it is one of those rare movies that made me laugh out loud! This is a very dark comedy about 2 idiots who find their boss dead and convince hundreds of gullible people that he is actually alive. They walk him around a resort, go boating with his remains, have parties. They even convince the hitman who killed Bernie that he's still alive! So, you guessed it, the ...

Great Classic
This is one of the funniest movies of all time. In opposition to the first, this one is a little less kid friendly due to a 5 second clip of partial nudity, but other than that it's great for watching with a group of friends.

Wicked Lake
The movie is about a group of 4 college girls who head to a lake for the weekend to relax. As they get there to start relaxing, they end up finding out they have been followed by a family of hicks. That apparently knew they were heading out there by a chance meeting as one of the girls works as a nude model in the shy kids art class. Who start to torture and mess with the girls until it turns ...

One little disappointment
I totally enjoy this series but was a little disappointed when Warner Brothers decided not to include the episode guide insert as they did in the 2 previous seasons. This was the only drawback that I see thus far - otherwise CBS has a sure-fire hit with this top notch show! Please Warner Brothers make these available to Season 3 & all future seasons!

One Unforgettable Weekend
"3-Day Weekend" One Unforgettable Weekend Amos Lassen Ever since I saw Rob Williams' first film "Long-Term Relationship", I have been a fan. Now with three films on DVD, I realize that others have also discovered him. Robb's new film is quite different than his other two in that it does not just deal with one gay couple but several and takes a deep look at the relationships between gay ...

Great Fun For Mystery Fans
This series of films from Hallmark Entertainment is delicious fun for mystery lovers and Kellie Martin fans. Martin is Samantha Kinsey, the owner of the Mystery Woman Book Store who finds herself involved in her own favorite pastime. There is a warmth and sense of fun to the story in this one and a fine atmosphere just right for light entertainment. Samantha is making plans for a "Mystery ...

still the classic
Why was this movie not made mandatory viewing in every school in the 50s Well, we all know the reason. But it would have saved a lot of lives. Still the most vivid and moving protrait of alcoholism around. Not for the squeamish, but its a lot better to watch this than to watch someone bleed out from cirrhosis..Should be shown with every beer commercial on TV....show the bikini clad maidens after ...

Finally, some harder to locate Godard titles...
Thanks to the reviewer who gave us the titles in the box set--a strange bit of information for Amazon to leave out. Of the three listed Godard films I've only seen "First Name Carmen." A quick synopsis: Two Parallel Stories (1)a quartet rehearsing Beethoven; (2)a group of film makers robbing a bank to produce their film. Godard utilizes Bizet's "Carmen" as a palet to weave the art of cinema ...

My Review
Check it out........ I haven't seen the DVD yet, but I'm ordering it. A word of advice; If you want to hear the songs an nothing else, buy the CD. Everyone is complaining about the sound quality and the songs being interupted by interviews.......Well, that's usually what people want to see when they order a band's DVD. Interaction with the band. Just my 2 cents. Long live Jack Johnson (and ...

The official start to your evening
All I have to say is that this film used to be a seminal part of the build up to my nights on the town. Re-discovered it again recently and still love it! It isnt a complex film but you feel part of the build up, part of the craziness and the slow comedown at the end. It even takes the odd pot shot at the drug culture that makes up the core of this film. The whole soundtrack is fantastic and ...

One of the most unique, moving, and poetic science fiction films ever made...
This film really doesn't get as much attention as it should. I was recently watching clips of this on youtube, and was struck by a couple of comments. Someone wrote "how does Godard do it? He uses very old fashioned techniques here (dissolves, fades), yet, makes one of the most profound films ever made?". Another wrote "because he's an artist". This is so true. This is one of most ...

My non-intellectual note on "Contempt"
The movie is of course very complex and a work of art. Now mi little comment written on a day I was on a rage: Some say that this film is about the gradual destruction of a marriage by the husband's insecurities and the contempt this awakens in a simple woman. I see it as the rationalization a beautiful woman does to justify her going after a hunky distasteful rich man. If she is angry with ...

Godard oddard, brilliant and more accessible
G......Masculin O.....Feminin D.... A... R.. D. extrapolates cinematic boundaries once again, this time it's a little easier to decode. It seems he had some ideas, opinions, and irritations he wanted to vent, so he aired these thoughts out smartly within a strange love story. Well, forget venting, he seems more like he's politely and subtlely machinegunning the 60's youth culture. He ...

Tragedy Changes Men. To Blu Ray or Not to Blu Ray
The American Heritage Dictionary online defines deliverance as the act of being delivered and to rescue from danger or bondage. The film Deliverance nominated for three Oscars (director, picture, and film editing) shows how a tragedy can change man. Made as V ietnam was ending and men returning home from war, themselves changed, the film seems an appropriate metaphor rather than mere ...

"Love is being stupid together." - Paul Valery
A really, really great movie. Simple, minimalist, and very expressive. As other people probably mentioned, the "minute of silence" and ensuing dance scene are worth watching the film for, for reasons which, like much of this film, I have a really hard articulating why... Recommended for the sickly romantic and fans of beautiful, blessed inanity!
