Excellent Series
This box set is very good quality. The shows have been restored and look like new. There are some very good specials about the Addams family show, cast and guest cast members. I don't like the fact that they have made the disks double sided but this is a personal dislike. I would definitely recommend this set.

Adding Color To A Classic
What else can be said about this film? It's a classic amongst classics. I'm not usually a fan of colorization, but the studio did a great job with this film. It looks like it was shot in color. I highly recommend that everyone rent it or buy it.

To Kill a Mockingbird (Collector's Edition) Lone fathers and their kids have been a hit in many movies. I have severl examples, like, Ryan and Tatum O'Neil in Paper Moon, Jon Voight and Ricky Schroeder in the re-make of 'The Champ' and Dustin Hoffman and Justin Henry in Kramer vs Kramer. Gregory Peck, won an Academy Award, for playing a sole parent, and he's never been better. The script for ...

This Film Was One of the Milestones on My Young Life
There is a part of me that is tempted to believe that the type of debate concerning the film The Boys in the Band , which has taken place over the last three decades, is a unique occurrence in the queer community. I'm not really sure why I would ever believe that. The ultimate reality of our society is that our perceptions are shaped by our experiences growing up. Based on how we perceive the ...

Sim the best of all
Although there are several versions of the Christmas Carol, this one by Sim is considered to be the very best. The absence of the technology we see today didn't hamper this production. One must remember the age of this presentation in order to really appreciate it.

A Classic
What accolade can I heap upon this film that it hasn't already received in the last 34 years? It is absolute brilliance, pure comedy gold, and arguably the funniest movie ever made. Obviously crafted with a lot of love, the black and white cinematography is gorgeous, the writing is pitch perfect, and the cast is amazing. Gene Wilder, Teri Garr, Ken Mars, Cloris Leachman, and especially the late ...

Amazing and Addicting!
I love this period of history, I studied it in master's school. This is a great series and I cannot wait till season 2 comes out on DVD. Do not expect this to be historically accurate because it is not. Although in season 2 they get a little bit better with following history. Nonetheless, this is entertaining and Jonathan Rys Myers is amazing as Henry VIII, even if he doesn't really look like ...

Color My World & my Films
The 2007 brand new beautifully color enhanced version of "Miracle on 34th St." is not the same color version as the one made in the '90's. It is also certainly not the same as the first color version made in the '80's. It's a brand new 2007 color technology produced color version. Whoever thinks this is the same color version, be it the AFT color version of the '90's or the bad '80's color ...

A Classic Documentary
This 1970's documentary is a great classic. Great footage and editorial comment by a number of historians as well as the combatants from all sides of the conflict. While this British produced piece shows a lot from the Anglo perspective, it really does have a good balance covering the war in it's entire scope. If you like a flag flying, victory by sheer might type of story, this is probably NOT ...

Extremes
I was skeptical about watching this movie because of the mixed reviews, saying it's not very emotional, even empty in places. But its not empty at all, very powerful in fact. The main character explains who she is from the very beginning. It sets the tone for understanding what she does throughout the movie. If you think love must come before sex then you may not like this movie. If you think ...

The BEST version of Dorian Gray
Although this movie has been made quite a few times, this original version with George Sanders, Donna Reed and Angela Landsbury is without doubt, the best version of this classic story. Creepy and excellent direction makes this a "must-have" for any B/W movie buff. I've watched it 3x already!

If you don't like this movie go see "Dumb & Dumberer"- you'll like it
You are a complete tool if you did not like this film. I read Julia S.'s one-star review about how the characters don't have chemistry. Hmm, well, if I'm guessing correctly chemistry to you means John Travolta and Barry Pepper in "Battlefield Earth", right? Not a chance by the way. This film is Bogey at his best, a landmark achievement to say the least. And on HD-DVD? A must-own needs to be ...

The Presidents
Wonderful set for anyone who enjoys American History, especially our presidents! I ordered a set for our Christian Day School; was so impressed, I ordered more for myself and others. Once you start watching, it's hard to find a stopping place until you've finished! One thing especially pleased me, it was not "party-biased". I felt the good and bad was reported with reasonable balance for all ...

One Dry Stretch, But Still Classic Stooges Hilarity!
This third volume of the Three Stooges Collection again showcases the hilarious slapstick comedy of Curly Howard, Moe Howard, and Larry Fine. If you enjoyed the first two volumes in this collection, or are just a Stooges fan in general, you will heartily laugh along to nearly ever short. The only negative thing I have to say about this set is that, about 3/4 of the way through the shorts, ...

The Thing - The Best!
Decent DVD of what I consider the best of the 1950's horror films. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles of other DVD's, but it does have a crisp copy of the film and nothing seems to be missing. So sit back and enjoy the movie. And keep watching the skies!

Terrible package design, but wonderful content!
The cover designs on these DVDs are awful compared to the previous DVD releases. But that's just a nit pick I guess. The shorts look wonderful on these new DVDs and are FINALLY priced affordable!
