Yellowstone & Grand Teton National Park on one DVD
There is no diologue on this dvd only natural sounds and music. So if your looking for narration this is not the dvd for you, but if you want to relax, watch, listen, remember or just see what it looks like this is the one to get. I must say this was all I expected of the video, however, my expectations were exceeded. To hear the elk call, the geysers blow, the mountain scenes, the rivers matched ...

Why is this selling for more than $31 here when it is $21.95 at the Discovery Channel Store?
I was just a minute ago at the Discover Channel store where this exact same DVD sells for ten dollars less than the best offer here at Amazon. What's up with that? Hey, everybody! Do some homework and save yourself some money! Except for the price, this DVD is beyond awesome, scary as hell, and so worth seeing I want my own copy. But not at the Amazon price!

A Great How-To Video Even for Experienced Photographers
I've been photographing for a long time, and have perhaps become a bit smug about certain subject matter. Take waterfalls, for example. "I know how to photograph those!" Well, I don't. The tips in this DVD proved that. There are many other great tips in this DVD, meaning I'll need to watch it several times to take them all in. I recommend this DVD to anyone considering a photo trip to ...
Nature: Yellowstone
Questar, 2008
In 1995, the first gray wolves were transported from Alberta, Canada to Yellowstone National Park, to repopulate the sprawling landscape with the species, absent for more than 70 years. The following year, a second wave of wolves was brought to the park from British Columbia, Canada; five of them were released together, and they were named the Druid Peak pack. Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Bob Landis spent over three years with these remarkable ...

HIGH PRAISE TO OUR FIRE-FIGHTERS AND ALL THE PEOPLE WHO RISK THEIR LIVES
Almost very educational - Yellowstone - Firefighters, their lives and dangers. I must admit that I bought it because of Scott Foley from [The Unit] but the movie was well worth it. The dangers are always real just never brought to our attention of all the dangers and risks that these men and women face when the blaze starts to take out millions of acre's of trees and park-lands. I sure hope ...

Have seen this on TV
Having seen this on TV and having a good friend that does tours in Yellowstone, I ordered it as a gift for her, nothing like being able to impress a tour group with information about areas of the Park they will never see. Yellowstone is the oldest and grandest park in the USA, and this DVD shows you how big and how wild it really is...

Informative with scenic shots, but not IMAX perfect
The Yellowstone IMAX DVD does a good job of capturing informative key moments of the Yellowstone history. Beginning with Native Americans to the birth of the first National Park to the scientific exploration, the DVD features a nice collection of scenic shots and historic information. Having worked in the park, I can easily relate to the historic segments, but to a viewer with no previous ...
History - Mega Disasters : Yellowstone Eruption
A&E Television Networks, 2008
The world's largest, most active volcano system exists in the western US. 6,000 years ago, the Yellowstone Volcano erupted. Lava and pyroclastic flows covered 3,000-square miles with ash 3-feet thick. Fossils discovered as far away as Nebraska were foundto have died from inhaling the Yellowstone debris. If--or perhaps we should say when--it erupts again, the Yellowstone "Mega-Volcano" will create a global cataclysm beyond human comprehension. ...

This DVD must be good, competitors need to attack it
If you look at the "review "below, it might surprise you that according to his logic he must work for a competitor because on the same day he attacked this park DVD, he promoted a park DVD by "Finley Holiday" (according to his logic a positive review and certainly a positive review combined with attacks on competitors must mean you work for that company). Unbelievable! And the company he is ...

Excellent Scenic Overview
This is an outstanding visual tour of Yellowstone National Park. The video presentation is superb, probably the best of any travel or nature video I've seen. It's easy to understand why Tom Murphy is an "award winning videographer". Take note, however, that this is not really a "travel" video. There are no tips for planning lodging, tours, activities, etc. There are also no campy ...
