Otogi Zoshi Vol 4 - Modern History2 reviews
Otogi Zoshi

Anime Works, 2005

Just to clear things up
This is a 26 episode series so there should be 6 DVDs, at least there is room in the boxed set for 6. Starting with episode 14 this series begins to follow a new plot line (which is both different and the same) which takes place in modern day Japan. The second half of the series is very different from the first half but still enjoyable.

Otogi Zoshi - Full Circle (Vol. 6)1 review
Otogi Zoshi

Anime Works, 2006

Full Ending
I love this series! It's a simple storyline, as far as some animes go, but it's definitely worth seeing. This last DVD wraps up the storyline, and answers questions. It's not a busy, complex ending, but gives you the warm glow of satisfaction nontheless, with a touch of sadness.

Otogi Zoshi - Legend of Magatama (Vol. 1) + Series Box9 reviews
Otogi Zoshi

Anime Works, 2005

An anime you can enjoy as a couple
I first saw the box for Otogi Zoshi a while ago and thinking that it would just be an anime based on the popular Xbox game I kept blowing it off. When I finally decided to actually read what it was about I became intrigued and now I am borderline obsessed. It has action which I will equate to that of Samurai Champloo (one of my favorites) and they have done their research as it shows quite ...

Otogi Zoshi, Vol. 2: Enemy Shores1 review
Otogi Zoshi

Anime Works, 2005

Better than the First Volume
I got the first volume of Otogi Zoshi a few weeks ago. It was good. The animation is different from a lot of the the anime floating around. It doesn't look or feel quite as cartoon-ish. It seems more real, as if 'this is from Japan's history'. The second volume has more romance than the first volume and you get more insight as to how the characters are really feeling. I'd recommend this DVD to ...
