Best one I have
Opened the package, installed it, and it has been running with no problems for the last six months. Never any problem reading or loading disks, and the 52X write speed is really fast. The only drawback I've found is that the cooling fan makes a lot of noise right next to the computer when I would rather hear the sound effects of a game or music.

iTunes/OS X Written All Over It
100% PLUG AND PLAY! Awesome burner!
I've had this burner for a year now and its GREAT! It was inexpensive and so I was a bit skeptical about how it would work. However, it has worked flawlessly and I have burned numerous CDs on it without any troubles at all. Much faster than my old CD Burner. If you're looking for an inexpensive, yet fast, easy burner, this is the one for you!

For a product that is supposed to support PCs and Macintosh you would think that hardware limitation for DVD would be spelled out but no such luck. I have had this cd/dvd player for about a month and it has worked exactly as advertised since it arrived. The cine player and hotburn pro software have worked, again, just as advertised. I have never used a cd burner before so I can't really compare, but it burns fast for me and I still haven't upgraded my usb to 2.0. I am very pleased.

I don't know what that one reviewer was talking about with this thing being difficult to use. I own an iMac running OS 9.2 and am by no means a computer wizard. I had this thing burning CDs within about 5 minutes. The only "uh-oh" moment was when I realized I had neglected to connect it to the computer via the USB cable. So if someone that dopey can manage this drive, it can't be that difficult.
