You save some money, but as instructed, you have to take the metal chip off of the existing cartridge and install it on the new one. It works fine.

GREAT BUY!
These cartridges work great with my Canon MP830. Simple instructions to remove data chip from original cartridges and insert into bargain cartridge. As long as they are compatable with your printer you wont be dissapointed. I believe they last longer than Canon brand. Even printing photos! Great buy!

Did Not Work!
These did not work in my Canon MP830 printer. The tanks require tiny chips be removed from the old tanks and clipped into the new tanks. I am an electronics engineer and work with chips but this was not an easy task. After installing the chips in two tanks the printer would not recognize the tanks and gave an error message. All I got after a hour of frustration was ink stains on my hands.
