I'm fan of Intel products. During many years I've been use motherboards of this brand. Without no doubt this is the better of all of them. This motherboard is for extreme and hard uses. If that not is your case It's a waste of money (there are many others Intel options less expensive).

Excellent motherboard
I've been using this motherboard with a Core 2 Duo processor, 4GB RAM, and a pair of ATI X1950 Pro video cards in Crossfire mode for several months and it is rock solid. As mentioned by others, the motherboard does not directly support PATA peripherals but it does support up to 8 SATA peripherals (4 SATA ports on an Intel controller and 4 SATA ports on a Marvel RAID controller).

Best Intel quad core price-performance. Throw out the fan though.
First off, this processor is undoubtedly the best deal out there among the Intel quad-cores. Compared to the Q9550 at $570 and the QX9650 at $1000 or more, this CPU is a certified bargain. It has all of the features of those others (at least as far as I know) but just runs a touch slower (2.66 GHz instead of 2.8 or 3.0 GHz.) I wouldn't pay more for one of the other quad-cores unless you insist ...

Good price for a DDR3.
Most systems would detect this memory as a DDR3 - 1066MHz, with latency of 7-7-7-20. Advice: most of the motherboards by default sets the voltage to 1.5V, this memory needs 1.7v. At 1066MHz it worked ok at 1.5V, but then I manually moved the FSB of the system so the memory would work at 1333MHz the system did not pass the POST. Installed with no problems
I received it yesterday and installed it instantly. Works fine and really boosted the PC performance since I was using a temporary 1GB 1333 Mz. The heat sink is excellent and the packing was very good since I ordered it to Kuwait .

Fast CPU
