Great card. 3ware Service is superior. There were issues with the first couple production runs of this card and timing issues. The card was not usable at all. 3ware promptly sent out a replacement. You can buy cards and accessories on their online site if needed. The card works great with the linux 2.6 kernel. I've tested the card heavily with gentoo linux and I have found it very reliable.

Works well, looks great, good bang for the buck.
Did not load Windows when I first took it out of the box. I found the hard drive connector had come loose. After I re connected it things just breezed along. This was purchased as a game machine for my grandson and he reports that it works well. Some of the graphics were a little shaky playing "Oblivion" but he reports all ok now.

board worked flawless the first time i powered up. it detected everything at first POST, and i was so surprised, i was in a mad scramble to find my windows CD to start formatting. very good overclocking features in the BIOS, and the dual bios is a great thing if you like to mess with settings. the one thing that would make this the perfect board is if it had 8 RAID slots instead of just 4.

This has one internal SATA socket and one external ESATA socket. It runs at 1.5 Gbps maximum (compared to 3 Gbps for some motherboard interfaces). Still, that's 3X of USB2 and 2X of Firewire 800. Best hard drive
I now own 4 of these hard drives. I use them for storing my video clips while using FCP. Video is the most demanding use of any hard drive and these drives have done an outstanding job. Also I do not find them to be that noisy, in fact they are quieter than most drives. I have been using these drives for about 2 years and plan to buy more.
