A Shure Upgrade
Etymotic Research ER6i Isolator In-Ear Earphones (White) I previously had a pair of Shure In-Ear earphones that I loved but they broke off in my ear and I had to get a replacement. The ER6i's are not only a replacement but a great upgrade to what I had. The fit comfortably in the ear and once a seal is made, man what great sound! I highly recommend.

Sounds and fit are Great but other minor issues
Sounds great and comes with a foam and rubber ear plugs in three sizes (a total of 6) so you are sure to find something that is comfortable and fits well. High quality constructing (gold plated contact, decent strain relief on BOTH ends of the wires). Sound is high quality and very good background isolation (I can turn the sound down on my iPod, while I am on a train platform that is 20' away ...

Awesome... if you get the foam tips
These are truely amazing earphones (especially if for motorcycling) but be sure to use the Comply foam tip P-series from the ear plug store. The flanged tips never seated correctly for me and I almost returned the earphones until I tried the foam tips. Totally lives up to the hype. It cuts off outside noise (I can't even hear my girlfriend when the music is off) and the sound is top notch. ...

GREAT!!
I bought these for my iPod when my others broke, and I am VERY impressed. I am able to listen to some of my softest classical music with an extreme amount backgrond noise, and very little of the background noise is audible. In other words, they do EXACTLY what Shure says they will. If you are looking for a product that will insure that you can listen to soft music on a low volume with little ...

Excellent quality, but not the most comfortable
Excellent sound quality. Bass, mid, and treble all come through crisp, thorough, and clear. Absolutely brilliant sound quality. Sound isolation good as well. The hands free microphone works well and has good sound quality. The wires are thicker than a usual pair of earbud headphone's wires usually are, but it makes them far sturdier. Only problem I found is that they are not the most ...

Excellent sound quality, isolation, and comfort!
I love these earphones! They have excellent sound quality and isolate me from other noises and distractions. They are an essential upgrade to the headphones that came with my Zune. The only drawback for me is that the cord is a little stiff, causing it to get tangled and be slightly less manageable than I would like. Overall though, I certainly recommend these headphones anyone ...

Comparison of three noise-isolation earphones
If you, like me, work or commute in noisy environments and are looking to replace standard iPod earbuds, read on. A word of advice before my review, don't try Shure SE530 if you are not ready to spend over $300 on earphones. Seriously, trust me on this. Once you hear music through these earphones, you will know what you've been missing and will want to buy them. My advice: first set aside ...

Great fit and noise reduction
I bought these earbuds mainly to get a pair that fit in my ears. Regular earbuds will not stay in my ears. These come with 3 different size buds and the small fits well. I have listened only to audiobooks so far and the sound is good. These earbuds block outside noise very well. I have been able to turn the volume down to 4 or 5. They even block out kitchen noises (I wear them while I ...

Excellent sound quality.
Never having used in-ear phones in the past I wasn't quite sure to expect. The only other earphone that I have extensive experience with is a vintage pair of Stax SRX-Mk3s. The E2c was the specific model that I was interested in, mostly in part due to Siegfried Linkwitz' study on reference earphones ([...]). After discovering that the E2c was no longer available I settled on the SCL2. While ...

Awesome Sound, Great Bass for In-Ear Design
I somehow lost my E3Cs, so I searched CNET for the best reviewed headphones and came across the E4Cs. I'm so glad I went with them. Great sound for all kinds of music. These can handle any type of EQ, but I wouldn't recommend MAX Bass, although the bass on these is quite impressive. For the money, these blow the competition out of the water. You can really tell the quality difference of ...

Goldilocks ear buds
As in the story, these are just right. Under my motorcycle helmet, they provide clear sound, good volume, and comfort. Most ear bud types get pulled out when you put the helmet on or drop out as you ride, because they don't really fit well. This set conforms comfortably to you ear canal. They do their job, even at 80+ mph...oops, I meant 50+mph...:)

Excellent "Clear" Sound and Noise Cancelling ...but be patient.
I started out thinking about getting the Bose ear buds. I didn't buy them because of the fact they don't seal off in your ear to block out other sounds. I found this set and did a lot of reading reviews and found this set to be the best value at around $110. For the money, the sound is excellent. Very clear sound that doesn't over-do treble or bass. If you want A LOT of bass, don't buy ...

Comparison and some other thoughts
First, I'll give you some background. I'm a student, a former music major (now Biomed engineer). I take my music and the quality of my experience very seriously. (I.e. - nothing under a 320 bit rate and no ipods) now, it's not all classical music - but all sorts. you name it, i probably have it. Here are my two cents about this piece. I myself am one of those people who need the foam ...

These actually fit!!
I had a pair of Harmon Kardon headphones with the triple flange sleeve. I wanted to get a little bit of a better pair so I got the Shure E4C's. If you have an odd sized ear the triple flanges are the best option if the regular buds fall out of your ear. At times they are not the most comfortable, but it's just a small sacrifice to pay for their performance.

Great for the price ($76 on Amazon)
These headphones are great for the cost (again, I spent $75 on Amazon.com) and I'm happy with the decision. They produce a cleaner, crisper sound than the V-Moda Vibes and Skull Candy isn't even in the same league. The people who complained about a "tinny" sound or no bass, did NOT have them in correctly. I can't emphasize the importance of proper insertion enough. It's a bit difficult at ...

You'll never go back to regular earphones
I bought these a little over six months ago and have to admit that when I first started using them, the difference in sound actually had me a bit skeptical. But I paid a nice price for them and made sure that I had the right earbuds for my ear, and after a week, I could not have been happier. A couple of weeks later, I found myself without them and had other earphones (marketed as premium) that ...

The Perfect Budget Headphones
Keep in mind that this review is coming from someone who does not write reviews for the products they purchase on Amazon.com. I just feel that these headphones are so good that I had to tell other people. First of all, I received these headphones as a birthday present two months ago. When I first listened to them, I thought that they were sub-par. I then realized that not only did I have them ...
