I was a bit apprehensive ordering this keyboard after the quality of other backlit keyboards on the market, however, this keyboard is great! Not only is it very pleasing to the eye but is functional in every way. Multimedia controls work perfectly and the build quality of the keyboard is top notch. It is the Variable-D design of this microphone (a completely different design element) that reduces proximity effect. Read the manufacturer's literature, which supports the above.
