Great Product Runs very cool, quiet
So I initially wished to purchase an external hard drive as opposed to an enclosure/internal hd but since I am planning on building a new desktop soon it made more sense to go with the latter. As I stated in the title this product is fantastic, cooling is great, the whatever sound (if any) is obliterated by the sound of my laptop fan. It currently houses a WD640gig 7200rpm drive and is doing fine.

This drive enclosure works great. I have a 5400 RPM SATA drive connected in it right now. The drive enclosure uses two USB ports in order to power the drive. There isn't too much to this thing. Just plug the drive in then screw the enclosure back together. Exactly what I wanted.

Excellent case
It was very easy to install my SATA drive. Just pluged it in and installed 6 screws and it worked great. It has an on/off switch. This will only work with a SATA drive, not an IDE.

I recommend this if you want the best possible product. The case is light weight but very sturdy. It is very stackable with rubber strips to prevent movement and firewire to set up a series of bacups. Top notch, would buy again.
