It works, and is much cheaper than Canon's
Can't say too much about a super simple plastic remote, but it works. I've shot a few hundred photos with it, and no problems. It is also quite a bit cheaper than Canon's.

Doesn't fit the 10d - don't beleive the description
After ordering this item, I found to my dismay that the 10D takes an N3 connector - NOT the T3 connector. So this thing doesn't work. Besides that, it seem well constructed - as you'd expect for an $80 piece of wire.

It fits on my 1Dmk2N
Ok, I use the extra dioptric adjustment lenses, so I needed to buy this frames to fit around them. On the 1Dmk2N, the latch holds it in place and it does make for a snug fit. It looks like the original. No problem with it coming off with the latch in place. I have had to buy Canon frames for my 5D and Rebel XT. Neither of these was a great fit, but this one is.

O.K. BUT NEEDS DOCUMENTATION
The lens works well, but leaves a lot to the imagination with the camera it is used with. The fixed aperture does not have any documentation that might help with intuitive shutter speed settings. The registration marks for the distance scale, also, is not on top of the lens after installing the adapter plate and there is no documentation in regard to how to align it with the top of the lens.
