This card works perfectly with my external sata hard drive. The only thing is that the computer won't recognize it if it's just woken up from hibernation. You have to shut down and start up from scratch every time. Otherwise there have been no problems and saving large files is very quick.

This is an incredible board. I bought an Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300 to go with it (45nm), Windows Vista Home Premium, and 2 GB OCZ 1333 MHz DDR3 RAM. The board had some freezing issues after updating to Vista SP1.
