I bought that same item last week and it arrived earlier this week. My laptop works perfectly on both Windows95(!) and using Linux. It was ordered on this computer who's also running Linux from the same outfit, and he's also using a 3COM card.

Great inexpensive gigabit SX FIBER card
Great Fiber inexpensive gigabit SX FIBER card. The other reviewer is a fool, writing a review on a FIBER networking card complaining it does not have RJ45 plugs. That is like complaining a BMW does not have a Ford Pinto bumper. It is scary that someone like this actually uses a computer let alone open the case.
