Blue Screen of Death
When the product works it works well. However, anyone with Adaptec Easy CD creater 3.5 or above (and possibly below) had better watch out. If you don't download a patch from Adaptec b/f installing the imagemate, then your computer may not boot and you will get the blue fatal exception screen starting with the code 0028. The tech support for Sandisk actually asked me if I got the "blue screen ...

Are you stuck on Windows NT too?
As you may have learned the hard way, Windows NT does not support USB regardless of whether your computer has it or not. Not one single store in my local area (Orange County, CA) carries a parallel port compact flash card reader (they've all joined the 21st century with USB). I bought the Scan Disc model and love it. In fact, I just purchased two more for my coworkers that are constantly ...

Excelent Product
I had during years the old Imagemate 8-in-1. With the new different record media used in many products currently, I felt the need to increase the card reader options, and my choice was for the Imagemate 12-in-1, that is working very well. Even with more 4 card reader options, this device only creates four removable disks in Explore, the same as the former 8-in-1 with less card reader options.

It's Fast
I just filled a 4GB CF card this past Saturday. As luck would have it, my card reader arrived that same day. To test the speed, I transfered the files a total of four times: - Camera to desktop via camera's USB 2.0 cable - Camera to laptop via camera's USB 2.0 cable - CF in this cardreader to desktop - CF in this cardreader to laptop The camera used is a Canon EOS 40D. Memory card is ...

Easy to Use, Relatively Inexpensive
I followed the installation instructions: load the software, then plug the reader into the usb port and let Windows 98 recognize and install the item. And that's what it did - so simple! And Windows Explorer reads it just like any other drive. I agree with the previous reviewer - it is a little difficult to insert the flash card and you must take care. Maybe it doesn't take a whole minute, but ...

Perfect for portable storage
Picked one of these up to take advantage of the 128 MB SM card I got for Christmas, and I love it. It's amazingly small. Fits in the palm of your hand so you can take it anywhere. Installation is a snap (download the latest drivers from Sandisk.com if you're on XP), and read/write speed is much faster than the Zip disk I was using before to sneakernet stuff between home and work. So far, the only ...

works great!
Works great! Has not failed me so far. I agree with other reviews that the sliding feature is kinda queer, but it does not detract from the functionality of the product.

Best card reader ever
I have two of these and have purchased several for my clients. The top part comes off the base and you can travel with it. It turns all kinds of media flash cards into "no-software needed" connections to your computer. I LOVE that part of it. I can't stand having to install all the software from these various cameras, smartphones, pdas, etc. This Imagemate solves that problem. I've tried ...

Simple & reliable
I purchased this item to read micro disks. It does great as long as you make sure you've got the adapter (the micro disk plugs into a regular size card). I've also used it to read the regular size Secure Digital cards from my camera. Just plug in and go - it's the best!
