Be aware of ink costs
Purchased this all-in-one almost a year ago. Works fine as long as I have lots of ink on hand. Even with a full black ink cartridge, if any of the other ink cartridges are empty (yellow, blue or red), you cannot copy, print or receive faxes in black and white. Also seems to use alot of the three colors even during a period of mostly black and white copying.

Good at First, BROTHER Customer Service Disappointment
I was initially very pleased with the machine. It was easy to set-up, hook-up, and start using. A little on the noisey side, but still more quiet than a lot of other machines I used. Great Label Printer!!!
The Brother QL-550 is an excellent label printer for general office labelling. I use it every day at the office for labelling file folders and it is capable of doing much more with the different types of label tapes available. I would highly recommend this product and plan on purchasing one for my home as well.

Endless problems with ink cartridges
Reasonably solid built printer with built in networking - which is why I bought it. Unfortunately over the last year have had endless problems with ink cartridges - says they are empty when they are full - says they are not seeded correctly when they are (and the problem is elsewhere), etc. As soon as I am out of ink - this will be retired and I'm looking for a new printer.

Multi-dysfunction -- so bad it's painful
Wow -- I can't begin to tell you just how incredibly terrible this stupid combo machine is. I bought it, tried to use it, and it just wouldn't print. I got this item for a job i was doing. I had to copy and scan several hundred documents. I will say that it did that with ease and the resolution is not bad either. Fast printing acceptable quality, but not an HP
