Awesome Size Awesome Sound
The main reason I went with the Substage 100 was because of It's size. It is one of the few Subwoofers that you don't need to use as a coffee table because of it's thin size. It is easily hidden and gives a nice rich Bass sound that fills the room. I'm very pleased and will probably purchase another one for my Stero Upstairs as well.

Mainstage Surround Sound Speaker System
I am very pleased with the quality of this product. The stereo speakers on my television set have never worked perfectly, emitting an unpleasant, tinny sound at certain frequencies. The Mainstage system has completely corrected that problem. CD's now sound wonderful, especially as compared with how they formerly sounded. I couldn't be more pleased with this product than I am.

Does a good job, just don't expect surround sound
I use this amplified speaker system to listen to my big-screen HDTV which itself came with fairly poor speakers. It is fully capable of decoding 5.1 surround sound and has a variery of inputs including coaxial audio and optical audio, so you can run not only your TV, but your DVD player and MP3 player through it as well, as I do. Awesome!
I placed this just under my TV inside the armoire. I used the fiberoptic connections and this thing really works great. What a huge difference between the TV alone and with this speaker. The sound literally is thrown at you and you do get a surround sound effect. I will say it is likely not as good as true surround speakers but this product will not let you down.
