Great, portable, HUGE HD
I've been through a number of external HDs, this one definitely ranks at the top of the list. I've owned this for about 5 months now. So far so good.
Attached cable a nice feature. Seems rugged, well-built. Backup software worked well with Vista (Ultimate 32). I think it only allows you to install the software on one computer though. Slightly bulkier than the WD offering, but seems like it might take a drop a little better. I like the dull finish better, as it won't scratch up as much. Overall, recommended.

If this is turbo, I'd hate to see what they call "slow"
I looked at the RPM on this and the "turbo" description and decided to pay the extra $25 or $30 over the Passport for this drive. What a mistake. Klutzy loading and unloading software has to be run to make this thing go into turbo mode, and even then it's way slower than the Passport that I have. On other sites I saw it rated only one star.
