Working perfect after several years.
I see many have had problems with this drive, but not me. I think I have had it for 4-5 years now and it has never had any issues. I use a Mac and it's placed in my tower. I never move it, it's a small size, but it's NOT a portable drive.

Purchased this almost 2 a half years ago and its great. It's still alive today. It's great for backing up files, photos, music, and personal home movies. It's compatible to both PC/MAC. It's a good practice to have a secondary external hard drive so that in case the 1st external hard drive goes bad (unretrival data) you have a 2nd one to reply on.

Some of the previous reviews state that there was a problem with the PC/Mac connecting to the external drive...I just dont see the problem. I bought this device in Aug '06 for my laptop and have yet to have a problem with it. It installed in a jiffy and I unplug the USB device and plug it back when I go mobile and still no issues.
