Quad cores have nothing on this.
Yes I'm aware that this is a dual core but I've done my research and this Wolfdale core kicks the snot out of similiar priced quad cores. Runs cool and efficient, as far as performance to cost ratio, buy this CPU.

The best for the price.
What more can you ask for? A Nikon Digital SLR, 2 extremely high quality VR lenses, which provide 18 to 200mm total combined, for less than $1,000. The D60 has all the capabilities of some of the much higher priced bodies, great software, that allows a wide range of programmable shooting and it's fast operating. It would have been better with a 3" screen, but, the one provided is bright and ...

With four execution cores, the Intel Core 2 Quad processor blows through processor-intensive tasks in demanding multitasking environments and makes the most of highly threaded applications. Great performance for the price
Excellent performance for the current price. Runs cooler than my Q6600 (B3 stepping) at its higher base speed (2.5 GHz). Max OC achieved = 3.3 GHz, with 1.33V Vcore, and ZEROTherm Nirvana NV-120 HSF. Could possibly go higher, but water-cooling is required. This CPU's dual-core competition is the E8400, but I prefer quad-core CPUs as overall PC performance in Vista is boosted by the presence ...

Great value.
Q9450 comes with impressive specs, but real-life performance often does not scale well with the numbers on paper. This is not the case with this thoroughly modern processor, though. It breezes through the tough video application at 30% CPU utilization, the same application that had brought the low-end dual-core it replaces to the knees. What pleases me the most, however, is how cool this CPU ...

This is THE chip to get
So, I'm one of those guys who spends way too much time on my computer, doing everything from gaming to programming. A few months back, I needed an upgrade from my Pentium D 925 because quite a few games were becoming quite slow, so I figured I'd go with the newer "Core 2" line to help bolster my computer's power (along with a new graphics chip). However, what I got was a lot more than what I had ...

Iwork works.
Iworks is a great set of apps. I use Keynote for professional presentation software. It is excellent and easy to use. I also love pages which is a very easy to use word processor which uses the standard Mac OS system of editing tools. Some times simpler is far better! Pages works and you don't need a Ph.D. to use it.

Wonderful Movie Maker!
If you have made slideshows and used pictures in PowerPoint or other programs, give Movie Maker a shot. Then after you fiddle with Movie Maker, give this book a shot. I have found it to be the very best guide to Movie Maker available and I don't think you will be disappointed. It gives a very good description of Movie Maker from top to bottom and the pictures on every page are beautiful and ...

Wordperfect 12 is Better For Most Uses
I use both WP 12 and MS Word 2007. Word is generally a failure for a number of reasons: 1) It forces you to use fonts you don't want and uses annoying spacing settings as defaults-changing the defaults is a pain as sometimes they change back. My preference has always been boring, but nonetheless clear and readable, Times New Roman 12 pt-MS in its desire for "cleartype" has chosen "Calibri" which ...

Reclaimed some desk space
I have a Dell XPS tower that takes up loads of desk space. I wanted to place it on the floor but was afraid the case would be full of cat hair and dust in weeks. This cart solves my problem perfectly as it raises the case about 3' off the floor and allows me to easily slide the computer out of the way. And the casters allow me to easily swivel the case when I need to access the connections on ...

Old Socket 754's Never Die.......Just Overclock 'em!!
My #2 computer runs this CPU. The ECS nForce3-A motherboard it's mounted on allows me to overclock it from 2.2GHz to 2.75GHz. Of course that requires OCZ's top of the line CL2.5 DDR400 RAM (2 x 1GB). For old tech it is very fast, but it's obviously no match for modern hardware. Like the other post stated, it's a big step up from a Sempron and well worth the money.

Great introduction to Excel programming
I bought this book four months ago, and I've found it a great introduction to Excel Programming. The VBA Programming Starter Kit (Chapter 4) begins a series of chapters that walk through the fundamentals -- it's one of the best intros on the subject I've seen. I also like the "Inside Out" boxed section which often provide facts I often didn't know about. I'm an experienced Excel programmer, ...

This is a pocket rocket....Ignore previous reviewer.
What I know: The E2180's only stepping is M0. It was released much more recently the first E2100's. The M0 stepping is NOT a step backwards rather it is a slight improvement in among other things V-Core or CPU voltage core. Other difference between the E2180 & the E2160/E2140 (either L2 or M0 stepping) is the Clock Multiplier: The value which is Multiplied by the the Front Side Bus (FSB). ...

Good but needs trueVGA
This item is great. My only complain it that the start menu bar and the bar at the bottom of the screen are too large. ozVGA and other trueVGA utilities fix this, though, though not entirely without new problems. I highly recommend it, though you might want to look at the other Pocket PC's that have the newer Intel processor. These can be upgraded to have 128MB RAM, and you can even upgrade ...
