This is a great radio. We put it on the back shelf in our shower and have not had an problems with it getting splashed. The cd compartment is well sealed so no water seems to get in there. My only complaint is that is seems to go through batteries pretty quickly, so we are investing in some rechargeable ones as the AC cord available to purchase separately would be unsafe in water. This is a great bathroom radio and it has a CD player, which I wanted. The batteries are safe but easily accessible (no tools required). The CD player sucks batteries quickly, but that is to be expected.

Wasn't worth the money
I bought this yesterday. The FM/AM radio stations do work but the CD player doesn't work. It comes in a piece of hard plastic that you have to destroy in order to get it out so the chances of returning it are slim. I was really disappointed with this purchase, I usually don't have problems with CD players.
