It doesn't actually charge my laptop
I am sorry to say that this is the second time I have purchased a charger to replace the one that my dog ate for my compaq R3000 laptop and both replacement ones do not charge my laptop unless I firmly hold them in place. I am going to try a universal one and keep my fingers crossed.

Charges the battery! What else can you say! It does seem a bit cheaply made, but it works great for me. A bit less portable than the charger that came with the camera (mine broke), but I'm not complaining.

Great Replacement
I bought the TechPower A/C adapter for my backup laptop - a Compaq Presario 2100. The adapter works just like the original recharging the battery and running the computer on A/C power. If/When my power cord for my primary laptop fails I will order the replacement from TechPower especially since the price is 1/3 what the big box electronic retailers want for a similar item.
