I bought this camera after returning the fifty-dollar plastic 'indoor' model with audio. This unit feels VERY solidly built and performs great. This hub is reasonably compact and the hide-away plug with a short (about 2 inch) cable is perfect for traveling. It also solves a common nuisance with laptops. The two USB plugs on my MacBook are about 0.05 inch too close together, so a plug placed in one port often forces me to slip the other in slightly askew.
