Works and it's Cheap!
This is a much better deal than buying the whole retail pack with a bunch of crap nobody wants. Tested working with the new vx8550 LG Chocolate Version 3 firmware. Use BitPim and you're set. I however could not get BitPim to recognize my phone using vista 64 bit. Swapped over to my laptop running 32 bit windows XP and it worked like a charm

I was dubious
I was dubious. For the price - easily a third of the Verizon store equivalent - I'd take a chance. It's a bigger battery, but it also lasts longer. This thing was cheap, it works, it matches. Psyche. I was really surprised. I just expected something that didn't fit, or sucked for whatever reason. It fits and doesn't suck. Life's good.
