This drive was very easy to put in the computer. My HP found it immediately, and it sort of installed by itself. It wasn't showing up but I didn't switch the jumper for it to be a slave drive :P. Unlike most builders, I was looking for a smaller drive to hold only the OS, while using larger drives for data. This was about twice the size I wanted, but provided the best cost per Gig balanced against the storage needs. I prefer to install the OS on a stand alone drive so when ( I never say if) there is a problem requiring a reload, all my data lives safely somewhere else.

In my mind, a good hard drive is one about which there's not much to say. The hard drive is easy to install. The connectors and jumper positions are all clearly marked on the harddrive itself. When using the master/slave jumpers instead of cable select, it doesn't matter where on the cable the drive is, which makes for good space and cable management in your case.
