Excellent value & taste
I love beef jerky and have probably never bought it at a better deal than the 12 packs for $26 shipped. Very good flavor, although some may not enjoy the teriyaki as much as I do. I probably would not buy at he regular price of aprox. $50, but would definetly buy when on special again.

Great Jerky
Pemmican jerky is some of my favorite jerky (outside of the nuggets from Jack Links), although the peppered variety isn't the best I've had from them. I prefer the mesquite or the original. Mediocre Jerky
Wasn't *bad*, exactly, but it wasn't particularly spicy, and I wasn't terribly fond of the texture. Disappointing, since I'm usually a fan of Pemmican. If you like beef jerky to actually be pretty spicy, try Jack Link's jalapeño-flavored offering.

Minimal additives

These bars come quickly and cheaply from Amazon, which is great. The carob/cocoa flavoring hides some of the unappetizing, floury taste that's a problem with several other Bear Valley products, and also helps to compensate for the mixed quality of batches (certain bars are clearly cooked on the side of the pan, which means they are uneven and dry).
