This is a quality item!
I ordered this miniature humidifier to keep on my desktop at work. I figured it was just a novelty item but was very suprised to find that it is a real, working, quality humidifier. It has an extra cylinder and five extra little wicks. You need to use filtered water if you want the cylinder to last a year or more. I use distilled water. Too noisy for a bedroom
I like the idea behind the venta humidifiers but I did not like their price. I bought two of these to use in my childrens room. They do a great job at humidifying but they have two drawbacks - they are too noisy to sleep with and they are VERY large. I plan to order a venta to try and use these in larger rooms. Very well designed and constructed - I expect these to last a very long time,

Now that I have had them for a year, the output has dwindled to almost nothing, even if I clean them. I can't find an ionizer that works for longer than about a year. Outstanding! And the nightlight CAN be subdued.
This is an outstanding room humidifier! Much quieter than others I've tried, and it does a great job for me in a fairly large bedroom.
