Time for bed.

This is a great good night story. Especially if you have a little one who tends to fight going to bed tooth and nail. It is perfect for dinosaur lovers and their parents. It has wonderful drawings of dinosaurs and includes their proper names hidden within the picture. Finally, I don't have to make up names for obscure dinos I don't know.

This is a good conversation starter. With ever scenerio where the dinosaur does something naughty there is a perfect opening to discuss the right way to go to bed. I like how all the bad behavior is at the beginning and the positive behavior is at the end. It teaches a lesson without being preachy or condescending to the children.

A MUST for trying bedtimes! Great book!

We received this as a gift and my children (2 and 3) have adopted this as their new favorite bedtime book. Bedtime is a battle and this has really helped. We now go to bed like the dinosaurs in our book.
It is well written and has beautiful illustrations. I especially love that each dinosaur on each page has their name. My boys LOVE dinosaurs and are very inquisitive about what type of dinosaur each was.
We have a few more from this series and I am yet to be anything but pleased!

Good bedtime story

This much-beloved book is a good bedtime ot settling down story, which my 2 year old grandson loves to hear over and over.

Little girls love dinosaurs too!

I bought this book for my daughter when she turned 2, and it has become her favorite book. The pictures are bright and engaging, and the rhyming text is so easy to remember that she "reads" me the book occasionally (even down to the dedications in the beginning). She loves it when her dad and I act out the silly things the dinosaurs do to get out of going to bed...and then she acts out the good things they do at the end (which means lots of kisses and hugs for us). Her favorite part is looking at all of the dinosaurs in the back of the book, and talking about what they're doing.

In the spirit of avoiding the cry of "one book more!" she only gets to hear it once per night, and then it's time for bed. She really looks forward to reading it and won't let us get away with skipping it, no matter how tired she is.

I highly recommend this book for a nightly bedtime story for any child -- boy or girl -- in their preschool years.

A great bedtime story

My husband bought this book for our son and it has quickly become his favorite bed time story. He loves the illustrations and when we combine the actions with the story (give a big hug, kiss good night, turn out the light) he knows it's time for bed. It's become part of our nightly bedtime routine.
