Best Pregnancy Book Ever!

This is the best pregnancy book ever, I have a ton of questions and this book answers them all. I would recommend this over the "What to expect when you are expecting" book. I have that too, but I found it didn't really answer my questions and it was confusing. I will be passing this book to all of my friends.

Excellent guide for parents to be!!

This book is excellent, my wife and I couldn't of asked for more. It is full of great full color photos and illustrations. It covers everything from the time before you start trying to have a baby, to feeding, and it even has excercise routines for your wife to do while she is pregnant. It has everything you could want to know. HIGHLY RECOMENDED!!

Great book, some important information is wrong though!

I recently bought this book because my wife is pregnant and I wanted to know all about what was going on, what could be done for her, and the essentials to know when the baby is first born. I normally don't review anything that I buy but I found some important information inside this book that is wrong.

Toxoplasmosis. This book says it can be found in outdoor cats, but not indoor cats. Some information that everyone should know is that indoor cats CAN have it! My wife recently became sick with Toxoplasmosis and the doctor told her that while it's more common in outdoor cats, it's very possible for indoor cats to get it. I guess it's easy for cats to get it if they eat CANNED food.

We were also told that if one of your cats gets toxoplasmosis any other cats you have n the same house will more than likely receive it too.

Different ways you can get this disease: Petting cats, cleaning cat liter boxes, and even sleeping in a bed that a cat that has toxoplasmosis has slept on! This is a very big issue and I can't believe the book didn't mention this.

Because of the wrong information in this book and us thinking our cats were good since they're indoors has led my wife to getting toxoplasmosis. And because we don't believe in abortion, if our child becomes mentally handicapped because of this... Well, you get the idea.

Just be careful with where you get your information and double check EVERYTHING. Consult your doctor if you have any worries.

Great Resource

I was looking for a book about pregnancy so I would know everything to expect that my wife would be going through. Most of the pregnancy books for fathers were pathetic, so I tried to find the most comprehensive book about the whole process that was written for anyone. This is the book. It truly is "the bible" of pregnancy information.

Best Book For Pregnant Women!

This has to be the best book out there, the pictures alone make it worth having, but there is so much more to this book...almost every book I've tried so far had nothing but drawings (this one has incredible full color pics of your growing baby)...it's full of practical advice even as far as lists of meal ideas, remedies for most common problems like heartburn, right down to an entire chapter on diaper changing, care of the umbilical cord etc. I also liked the way this book focused on how to do the right things during your pregnancy, rather than the way most of the other books focus on everything that may or may not go wrong until you become scared and end up with nightmares! Definately buy this book, you won't be disappointed. And I just have to mention those amazing pictures once more!!
