Very Helpful Book!

This book has a great outline and a "study schedule" already prepared for you so that you can follow and study on a regular basis for the exam. I wasn't even very good about keeping up with the schedule, and still felt like what I reviewed in the book was essential to pass the exam! I would recommend it to anyone who is studying for this test.

FE Review Manual (Good job)

Excellent job getting the book to me. There is no sense in getting expedited shipping when they get it to you this quickly via standard shipping. The book was in great condition and I can't say enough about them. Good job guys.

I Passed the FE, the book works

Michael Lindeburg does an excellent job in preparing you for the FE. I was in school and still bought this book for reveiw. I am normal and forget some of the many things I've learned while in school, so this book was a good way to re-establish what I had forgotten and bring me up to speed on everything I would be tested on for the FE. Yes the problems in the book are more difficult than the actual test; however, when you are training to run a 10 mile race, do you practice by running 10 miles? No! you run 20, so on race day a 10 mile run is like a walk in the park. Buy this book, it does it's job. I passed the FE w/ 2 months of solid studying using only this book & the Civil prep book my Lindeburg.

Just remember the biggest portion of the General morning exam is math. Hit it hard. I would also recommend becomming familiar w/ the NCEES supplied reference handbook.

Good Luck!

good review guide

I generally like the book because it gives a very good theoretical summary on very many subjects. Some of the things I never understood as an undergraduate student became more clear to me after reading this book.

On the negative side, the book is full of errors. They are not huge errors but annoying nonetheless. There are not enough example problems in the book. I recommend buying a separate book of problems to go with this one.

I recommend buying this book

I passed the EIT with just 1.5 months of 2-3 hour a day study !!

I bought this book rater late around mid-September 2006 and I was supposed to take the October 2006 exam. I was rather doubtful about passing the exam. I studied from this book and this book alone for 1.5 months. Studied everyday regularly for about 2-3 hours. Then I took the exam. Even though I am a Civil-Environmental Engineer, I took the General EIT. I got my results in the 1st week of Jaunary and I am thrilled to report that I have passed the EIT. I can be confident enough to say that even if you guys study this book....say everyday for 2-3 hours regularly, it is sufficient to pass the EIT based on a 1 to 1.5 month study duration. So, its never too late. The level of problems in this book is tougher that those you will encounter in the actual EIT. Hence, you will find the actual EIT bit easier. I will suggest concentrate on the Math section very very well. Master the Math, and you are more likely to pass than anything else.

And dont forget my motto "STUDY SMART NOT HARD". Instead of trying to cover up all the syllabus, try to cover only about 70-80 percent of it. But what you study....dont just study it....master it!! The exam is all about passing, not scoring. So you want to make sure you study the high weightage topics first and master them. All you care about is passing the exam. So it doesnt matter much even if you leave out a few small topics that end up being about 20-30 percent of the syllabus. You can guess those questions and get about 25% of them right. While guessing, make sure that you mark all answers the same...i.e....mark all answers "A" or "B" or "C" or "D". You probability of getting more answers right increases that way.

Overall, awesome book, very detailed and very well written.

I would recommend it to anyone wants to pass the EIT in the first attempt itself.
