Wednesday Letters

This is a very warm story with a deeper and richer message about family and forgiveness. I hope that there is a sequel and enjoyed reading the book so much that I purchased several more copies to give to friends as gifts.

Brought me to tears

I loved this book. It was a love story, a mystery, and a story of forgiveness and understanding, all of which touched me in a way that brought tears to my eyes, and wouldn't allow me to put the book down until the final word in the book.

Not what I expected...even better.

Having just finished reading Michael Gates Gill's HOW STARBUCKS SAVED MY LIFE, I was in the mood for another light and uplifting read. It was December after all, and holiday spirit was all around. I picked up THE WEDNESDAY LETTERS, knowing it would be a quick and enjoyable read. I was right.

There was much more "story" in this novel than I anticipated, and it went in directions I did not foresee. The letters themselves were not just romantic sap. They were real and full of the complexities of life from a man who was definitely not perfect, but definitely loved his wife. I found myself imagining what I would've done in Malcom's shoes for several days after finishing the book, and the fact that I kept thinking about it for so long speaks volumes.

I think you'll enjoy reading this one.
