We had an opportunity to scan the book in his office before it was released, and were so impressed with the way it handled the various subjects at hand that I'm buying it today as a Christmas gift for a pregnant friend. Dr. Thurston's own strengths definitely come through to the reader.

As a physician in training at UTSW Medical School I deal with pregnant women all day long. Dr. Thurston's book is the first one that I have seen for the lay public which answers questions in the same clear, concise way in which I try to answer my own patients' questions. In addition, the book is extensively referenced and there are listings of extremely useful Search engines and specific Websites. It is rare indeed that you find a reference like this one which not only answers your questions, gives you other sources of information, and at the same time does it with good humor.
