Perfect book with great advice that I can put to use

Having been out of college for two years and not knowing exactly if my current career path is what I want, this book allowed me to identify my goals and examine my motivation in a way that I had never done before. It forced me to think about what I want out of my career and how exactly to achieve my goals. I particularly found the advice on whether to get an MBA or not extremely helpful. This part of the book gave me new insight on how networking plays a role in MBA school as well as all the different types of MBA schools and which ones fit my goals best. It also pointed out key considerations such as what strings might be attached to a company's offer to pay for your MBA. CEO and Professor William White has used his experience and business genius to create a book that presents priceless viewpoints and advice on business that will stick with me forever. I can't express how important and unique this book is to someone starting out a new career.

A Must Read for All Interested Going into the Corporate World

This book is not only good for those entering business fresh out of college, it also contains very useful/applicable information for those seeking for internships. As I read through the chapters, I realized the little mistakes I have made during my summer internship and places where I could have improved.
In From Day One, Bill White created a road map of what a rookie needs to know in order to survive and outperform in the business world. (i.e. first impression is very important as one's fit in an organization is usually determined during the first 3 months. One should seek hard to fill in the knowledge gap in an organization.)

Sound advise on any day

Okay Mom and Dad, Grandpa and Grandma, aunts and uncles. If you have someone in college get them this book. Why, because it has everything they need to make it in the "real world."

This straightforward, tell it like it is, approach from someone who has been there and had a successful career, should not only be read but memorized. Since we are experiencing such a me-me-me corporate behavior, it is such a relief to hear someone say that one of the elements of success is to listen and to give without thinking of what you are getting in return. (I am sure this has Donald Trump's coif in a tizzy!) That it is about your contribution and not your salary that will develop your career and make you successful.

It's about time we listened to someone who knows the way to succeed that doesn't involve having bloody bodies littering their ladder to success!

This is a "get real" book and I for one, hope students, our leaders of tomorrow, read it--immediately.
