This book was written in the 1974.Its aii made up of peoms and funny things.And all the pages in the book are funny to.The things I like about the book is its funny peoms and it has big letters to I hope you like the way I wrote this poem about Where The Side Walk Ends. thank you Dustin Morris.

Great Books

My daughter is 7 and loves all of Shel Silverstein's books. The poems take you along for a ride and are great to read over and over again.

very imaginative

Shel Silverstein's Where the Sidewalk Ends book of poems and drawings is amusing and very imaginative. It is as if he has retained the imagination of a five-year-old child and possibly taken all the nagging why questions from that age and answered them with incredibly outrageous stories.
The poems contain some near rhyme and onomatopoeia. The book is written for the young at heart and possibly for those who need to learn to lighten up. Expounding on simple childhood incidences and thoughts is the theme.
Some of my favorites are "enter this deserted house" it takes a frightening place and makes it like a walk in a meadow, "Sarah Cynthia Sylvia Stout would not take the garbage out," "the unicorn," "no difference." They are all fun and light hearted.
