Rickles is the Man

Rickles' Book is one of the funniest books I've read in a long time. The stories come from 50 years in the business of insulting people and getting paid for it (boy I wish I could do that).

Don has known ALL the biggies in the business from Sinatra to Martin to Lewis to even the mob guys who used to run Las Vegas. When I finished reading this book, it reminded me that performers like Don are a dying breed...LITERALLY! All the greats are no longer with us and we should show folks like Don how much we appreciate their genius and how grateful we are that they are still "Gettin' It Done" and with the same flare that they always have had. If you don't read this book and get a warm fuzzy feeling for the past and can laugh till your sides ache then....I hate to say it, but you're a Hockey Puck!

Enjoyable, but would like more information.

This is a nice book but and I enjoyed reading it but I wish it had more (a lot more) on some topics.

Rickles' Book: A Memoir

If you a Rickles fan you well love this book; its Rickles all the way and it is just a great book that look back the early year of his life and the people around him.

This is a quick, but very enjoyable, read

I've always felt that Don Rickles was never fully appreciated for his many talents. He was known for being the King of insult comedy but that often overshadowed his quite fine acting ability, much of it noncomedic (remember him in Casino?).
One surprise of this book is finding that it is often light-hearted, even sunny, quite a departure from the stage act. But that is just fine because the anecdotes and memories he shares are well worth reading.

Rickles Rules!

Don Rickles stories are both funny and nostalgic. I received a rare glimpse into a funny man that I have been watching all of my life.
