The "Truth" of Catholicism Finally Revealed By Their No. 1 Saint!

What a sad state of affairs for the "false" doctrine of catholicism to be revealed by none other than their No.1 poster child Mother Teresa. Her entire life was one of darkness, emptiness and loneliness simply because "none" of the hundred or more "spiritual" advisers she had over all those years could point her to the "truth" of the Bible and "How To Become Born-Again"! These "advisers" included priests, bishops, cardinals and even popes themselves! Not surprising, since the catholic jesus, is "NOT" the Jesus of the Bible. Nor is the catholic mary, the Mary of the Bible. You cannot ask Jesus into your heart while continuing to follow man-made rules, regulations, rituals and traditions that deny God's Word in the scriptures! Of course I can "understand", being a former catholic, why most of the writers of reviews on this book can "identify" with mother Teresa's continuing "darkness". I too, once lived with and in this darkness. Through the Grace and Mercy of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, I was able to seek and "find" the truth of God's Word some 23+ years ago. Throughout this entire book, the mention of hardly "any" scripture references are sorely lacking! Catholics, you cannot expect to "follow" blindly false man-made doctrine, and expect that your "ignorance" will win you a place in God's Kingdom of Heaven! Wake up and run, run, run as fast as you can away from this catholic doctrine of satan himself! It's ironic that the very "reason" for keeping and publishing these "private" letters by the vatican was the sole pursuit of "money", Mother Teresa being their ultimate "cash cow", but it will ultimately be their "undoing" as it is a "tremendous" witness for Born-Again Christians in these end-times to show catholics the folly of their doctrine. Undoubtedly, many people reading this review are non-practicing catholics who still "believe" they are "protected" under the catholic "umbrella" of salvation. I find it ironic as a former catholic, that catholics today still believe they are going to heaven whether or not they go to "church" all the time, only occasionally, or never at all! It's very "easy" to "call" yourself a catholic as their seem to be absolutely "no" requirements at all to "be" a catholic! God gives us Born-Again Christians many, many commandments and requirements in His Word even though "Salvation" is a completely "free" gift. Read Ephesians 2:8&9. Catholics, "READ" the Word of God, The King James Bible (not the "catholic" bible) and test your "doctrine" against the "True" Word of God and seek repentance and ask the "real" Jesus into your heart as Lord and Savior! You'll never be the same again! If your still "wondering" about the "darkness" of Mother Teresa or your "own" darkness, look no further than 1John1:5-6 in the Bible! KJV: "This then is the message which we have heard of Him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not, the truth"; NIV: "This is the message we have heard from Him and declare to you: God is light, in Him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with Him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth"; Look also at John 8:12 (Jesus speaking): I am the Light of the world, he who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the Light of Life! This my Catholic friends is the reason why Mother Teresa "never knew" the "real" Jesus! Jesus said in John 3:3, "no one can see the Kingdom of God unless he be Born-Again"! This is Jesus talking, not myself! Once you breath your last breath on earth, your "choice" is irrevocable! God's system is a "Free Will System". He never takes that choice away from us. "WE" make the decision as to whether we spend eternity in Heaven or Hell! Learn from mother Teresa's greatest mistake! A life "VOID" of the true "Savior"!

an intimate look into an extraordinary life

This intimate look into the personal letters that Mother Teresa wrote during her amazing life help us all to gain a deeper understanding of her spiritual motivations and human struggles. Some have said that it reveals a "flawed faith", but I see quite the opposite. These private communications uncover an extraordinary commitment to living a life with God at its center . . . and the cost of making such a choice. They show how wholly one person can bear the burdens of others. The language is, of course, full of Catholic imagery, but even if you aren't familiar with her faith language, her heart and soul come through. I recommend this book.

Beyond the Dark Night of the Soul

Mystics speak of three progressive levels in uniting oneself to God; the purgative, the illuminative, and finally the unitive. Mother Teresa had a profound love of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament from an early age and, as evidenced in the book, she entered the ecstasy of the final unitive stage remarkably early - while still with the sisters of Loreto. The so-called Dark Night of the soul typically occurs after the purgative and illuminative stages. The darkness that Mother Teresa experienced later in her life was something much more profound.

After reading this book I will never read the words that Christ spoke on the cross the same way again, specifically "I thirst" and "Eloi, Eloi lema sabachthani" (My God, My God, Why have you abandoned me). Mother Teresa united herself to this particular intense spiritual suffering that Christ endured on the alter of the Cross, for the salvation of souls. As dicussed in the book, Christ more than took our sins upon himself, he became sin, and thus in his humanity while on the cross he suffered the effects of sin - separation from God.

Mother Teresa, in her attempts to love God like none other, asked God to allow her to experience this suffering of Christ, and thus intimately unite herself to the plight of the abandoned poorest of the poor, so as to win souls for God. The fact that God had granted this wish is evidenced by the tremendous fruit of her labor as well as the numerous signs/miracles that graced her blind Faith despite her no longer obtaining consolations. (Interestingly the book mentions a one month period of intense consolation after her profound darkness began that just served to demonstrate that God was in fact in charge.) Christ's thirst for souls became her thirst for souls (I recall her striking vision in the book). She demonstrated such true self sacrificial love and such intransigent Faith that she was willing to give up all, even what she desired the most - Jesus, and thus satiate His thirst.

Mother Teresa is a true Saint. Through her I have a much deeper appreciation of Christ's love for us and the depth of His sacrifice for us. Because of this book my own petty daily sacrifices have ironically become less encumbering and yet more fruitful.
