Durable and nice-looking!

For the money, this unit can't be beat. It was very easy to assemble and it should last forever. It also looks nice, though one won't be able to see 99% of it, and that's a good thing because you want people to see the speaker, not the shelf.

I haven't purchased my new TV yet, but I hope to be mounting this by next month on a new 1080p Samsung 50" DLP. I am sure it will work perfectly.

Don't attempt heavy load

I bought one of these to hold my 30 lb center channel on top of my 61" Samsung DLP. It worked just fine for about a week, and then last night the speaker came crashing down the back of my TV. The metal rods have ripped apart from the base (screws still in place, top part of metal rod itself ripped off). Also, the bolts that sit in front of the TV scratched my Samsung pretty good...it scratched it as I was installing it, and then again when it came crashing down.

I'm not angry or anything, I was using this shelf at its weight limit, and perhaps a pound or two above. Also, my center channel extended behind the shelf (I have a deep center channel). I would imagine this shelf would work great for a lighter, shallower center channel. If you have a heavy or large center like me, you may be better off with a HyLoft Heavy Duty Wall Shelf. I just ordered one from Amazon...and I'm SURE it will be sturdy enough (designed to hold 200lb).

Nice product. Works wonderfully on my 42" Sony Grand Wega. Looks like it would be adaptable for just about all TV's.

Center Speaker Shelf

After I purchased my Panasonic 44" LCD projection TV I could no longer place my center channel speaker on top of the TV like I did with my old CRT projection TV. The OmniMount shelf worked perfectly and was a much better application for me than trying to wall mount it. Shelf quality is very good and installation was easy.

It's a well-built unit & it fits great on top of my TV. I have 2 minor gripes:1. The instructions were not great & I had to figure out part of the assembly on my own. 2. The front edge of the shelf has a raised lip that obscured the lights on my black Series 2 Tivo.
