Awesom listenting

The V-MODA Vibe Earbuds are little wonders that enhance every sound. You will never use anything else once you experience this! Music becomes alive, distinct, clearly defined. The price is well worth it!

Not too shabby

I nabbed a pair of these for $[...] at Costco after buying and returning I don't know how many of its competitors. While they sounded terrible out of the package, putting the next size larger rubber cups on the stems improved things dramatically, and for my ears, they strike the right balance between comfort and sound quality at a reasonable price. I wouldn't say they're going to put Grado out of business anytime soon, but they're leaps and bounds above everything else I've seen on the shelf at Best Buy.

My biggest complaint is the fact that the little 'R' and 'L' indicators are printed on the stems, which just so happen to be covered up by the medium and large sized rubber cups. Luckily, they provide you with replacement cups in both black AND clear silicone, so you can mix the two and use that as a visual cue to help you get the right bud in the right ear without squinting.

Longevity may be an issue as well given the questionable strain relief on the cables, but we'll see how it goes.

*Great bass, snug fit, stethoscope sound*. I knew modern buds and canals were starting to get a lot more bass, but I was surprised how much these had. Compared to my old Sony 828s, Many Many times more bass, but not much else. Highs and vocals didn't seem much improved. I returned them because I thought it was TOO much isolation. Great for listening at home, but not for walking down the street. I couldn't hear a sherman tank if it was running over my toes (read: dangerous while walking downtown).

The snug fit was easy to achieve, and it didn't cause my ears to ache, but I didn't like them THAT far in my ears.

The amount of isolation also led to the other quality I view as a downside, which was every rub and movement can be heard through the headphones. Even my feet walking on my tile floor, breathing, everything was audible.

Some of the Sony buds for a little less can deliver almost as much bass for almost half the price if you are looking to save money. Overall, I will be looking for a good set of sub $100 cans for movies, Guitar Hero and home listening. My sony 828's will still be used on the go because they have a winding case, I hate tangled wires! These come with some type of winding mechanism, but I hate to kink my wires around a small piece of plastic. CREATIVE PEOPLE WILL TAKE THE WINDING CASE FROM A CHEAP SONY PAIR AND WIND THEIR V-MODA VIBES IN THEM FOR BETTER WIRE MANAGEMENT ON THE GO!
