Great little grinder

Love this thing, of course all i really want is fine grind coffee, anything cours and this would be fairly useless.
quiet,cheap,compact and easy to use, cant ask for more than that.

if you don't grind your own you are missing out, fresh ground coffee is so much better, buy this grinder you wont be disapointed.

i notice on the sales page they offer a brush for cleaning it out, over $8?
are you kidding?
go to the nearest Home Depot paint department and and buy what they call a "chip brush" cost under a dollar and does a great job.

Great Value for the Money

I purchased this to replace a worn out Braun KSM2-WH Aromatic Coffee Grinder, White which appears to have been discontinued. This Krups coffee grinder is the perfect replacement. It works great and seems a little smoother and quieter. Can't beat free two-day shipping via Amazon Prime!

It' over 12 years and going strong

I've had the white version of this grinder for over 12 years, probably more, and it sounds like it did the day I bought it. Only problem is that the cord stiffner, where the cord comes out of the unit, broke and it is now down by the plug (too lazy to cut it off); I don't even notice it anymore. I only grind the beans for 15-20 seconds, shaking unit up and down a couple times about every 5 seconds, and the grind is fine or even very fine. I don't think I will have to replace this unit for several more years as it works as fine as the day I bought it. I use a damp paper towel every once in awhile to wipe it out and it looks as good as new.

Exactly What I Needed

I just resumed grinding coffee at home. This grinder is fast, not too loud, and consistently produces a uniformly fine grind. In other words, it works exactly as advertised. I am only using it to grind coffee and not for spices.

The cord is a bit short but I haven't tried to figure out the long cord option. I don't really need to stroll the kitchen during the 10 seconds that it takes to grind coffee for my morning pot.

I clean it by simply using the handle of my coffee scoop to scrape out the remaining grounds. I don't get every single tiny grind out but it's clean enough.

Dark beans and industrial rock

Yes, it's a perfectly fine coffee grinder--hard to imagine a simpler machine, really, so anyone who's had problems with it must be doing something weird--but where the Krups scores for me is in its brand's echo of Die Krups, an industrial rock band of the '80s and '90s who in turn took their name from the infamous pre-war dynasty of German manufacturers, the Krupps.
