I bought the 1999 version and am about to order the newest edition. I had not been to Disney World in 12 years so I had no idea on what to do and where do go. The book was right on about every detail. I especially like the ride advice for little ones and the hotel recommendations. If you are planning a trip, buy this book first!!!!!!!!!!

Walt Disney World with Kids 2000 is a wonderful guide for planning and implementing a trip to Disney. Details such as the kid-friendliest hotels on Disney property, to the "scare" factor of different rides help parents plan out the trip according to their families' needs. Knowing that Snow White's Scary Adventures were REALLY scary helped me decide to have my 4 year old skip it. Although some of the tips in this book can be found from various sites, this is the most comprehensive book for families with young ones who are visiting Disney.

Never Mind The Other Guides....Buy THIS One!

We visited Walt Disney World for the very first time two years ago. Being VERY green we looked over and bought a few guides in addition to this one. THIS is the guide we poured over every night at the hotel. We literally ripped out the section on the park we planned to visit the following day and took it with us. It was well worth it. If you can only get one guide book...this is the one.

Don't leave home with out it

If you do one thing before leaving for Disney World - read this book. The advice is excellent from the hotel reviews to the ride recommendations. I took my 3 1/2 year old and followed the author's advice on all rides with the exception of one ... 8 months later he is still mentions how scared he was during it! If you think you can get by with the information that Disney supplies, you can't, they provide no description or age recommendations. Without the book we would definitely have made many more inappropriate decisions. I shared the book with a friend who felt it wasn't really necessary ... she called me from the park to thank me.
