Where is the nutrition information?
I enjoyed the inspiring stories and plans in the beginning. The
recipes
seem good enough. I've cooked a few. However, they are missing the nutrition information for each recipe! I bet some
thin
gs in the book are healthier than others but I wanted to choose what I wanted to cook on my own. If she wrote a cookbook from her "spa kitchen" when she was in Hawaii, with the nutrition information, I'd buy that first. Try Bob Greene's "Best Life" instead if you are looking for a starter healty living book.
My WHOLE entire family has lost weight with this book!!!
I am a stay at home Mom raising two boys, three if you count my husband. Too many fast food meals and nights eating in front of the television and before I knew it we were all in bad shape. I had to do some
thin
g. I got this book because I love her show on the Food Channel. I started making a different dish every night, sometimes two dishes they are so
easy
. No one even noticed I was
cooking
healthy
food. We have all lost
weight
and believe it or not I can shop in the regular departments for the first time since college. I highly recommend this book if you don't want to diet but just want to eat better and lose weight. Her new day book is GREAT also.

After watching
Chef
Kathleen
's Food Network show, I decided to purchase this book. I've enjoyed it so much that I bought a copy for my aunt.
This book is a great place to start if you are new to healthful
cooking
. The first 70-odd pages are "
thin
theory," helpful hints and tips for a healthful lifestyle, not just healthful cooking.
The
recipes
are good, Kathleen made me want to try fennel and I've loved it ever since.
What I love about the book is Kathleen's humor. The vegetable stock recipe is just funny. I also enjoy the variety of recipes.
Kathleen understands that sometimes we make poor food choices because of time, so she provides shortcut tips for every recipe.
My one complaint is that there is no nutritional information for each recipe. I follow
Weight
Watchers, so I need that info.
