Amazing!

Before I start, I must add that I bought the FWC-555 version, with 40 more watts, but I'm sure this one would sound the same...first thing I noticed was the excellent bass. They almost sound like floor standing speakers. I think they go up to 40, but the highest I ever went with them was 35, and no distortion. The Max Sound and Bass Boost stuff contributes substantially to the sound. Without them, these speakers would'nt be nearly as powerful, so make sure you have Bass Boost at blast and have Max Sound on when you want to show off your speakers. This is simply the best speakers around, for the price that is.

[great kick]

I bought this thing like 4 days ago and i connected it to my tv and dvd player and i swear if it wusnt for the nagging cats i might have believed i was at the movies. The max power gives it a great kick and the bass makes this system sound so beautiful i highly recomend this thing

Loud and Clear

I honestly like this sterio. With all the sound options you can make tapes and the older analog cd's sound great. You can play newer digital cd's and be over come by the awsome reproduction. It is powerfull enough to not even be in the same room to enjoy. For this price it has a lot to offer. More than what you would think. A quality made product. Just try it out and then you will see what I'm saying.:~)

Just Plain Awesome Sound for a Shelf System

I was actually looking at [...] and checking out the sounds of several systems when I finally found that this one was the best.
And when I say the best, I mean the best. It BLEW ME AWAY!!! The max sound is pretty cool too, so if you're thinking about this system I would say get it. I have never really been a fan of Phillips but this stereo is outrageously great!!! This is all I can say about it. Really it is a great sound system.):-)
