The Almost Perfect Hub
This is a great
USB
Hub
. It works great. Like the other reviewers, the blue light can be annoying, but if you position the hub nicely, it can add a nice glow to a dark room. It's great for traveling because you don't need to use the power adapter constantly, but when you're at home, I suggest using the power adapter as it will make the USB Hub have faster connection speeds (if you use the Hub to play Rock Band, the power adapter is a must). If you have an iPod and are using this Hub to connect it, use the power adapter as the computer might not supply enough power to the Hub to charge your iPod. A lot of my friends who needed a USB Hub bought this Hub at my suggestion and they love it too.
It's small and
port
able. Size might be an issue for those with large USB peripherals. On one side, there is 3 USB Ports which have ample room for whatever you need to connect, on the other side, there's 4 USB Ports which have limited space.
The dock for the Hub isn't really needed. If you do decide to mount the dock somewhere, be careful since the USB Hub slides out of it quite easily. If you don't need to grab it and go from the dock to work (or something), then some double-sided tape will help the Hub stick in place.

Exactly what I was looking for
This is the perfect
hub
for me. The base is screw-mountable and securely holds the hub in place. It's a pleasure to swap out
cables
or
usb
drives with one hand and no hassles.
Love it!
Works as Promised
I've owned this device for a month now without incident. It was purchased because it had a DC power boost; I found my peripheral equipment (e.g. drives) were not being sufficiently powered by my Mac Mini using a simple, unpowered
USB
2.0 multi
port
device
I've plugged up to five devices, out of a total of seven ports, and all experiences have been excellent. No complaints. The wall mount adapter is a little plus too if you like to keep things a bit neater
Overall a good value so far. Can't speak to longevity at this time

Great Hub!!
Lots of
usb
slots...makes it very practical. I like the fact that it has slots in the front and on the back...perfect for desktop use. The blue light is always on and kind of annoying. But other than that its a great tool.
Can also be used as a travel hub.
Ran out of
USB
port
on the computer (who doesn't) and purchased this to solve the problem. It is actually two parts: i a base that can be attached with to screws (so the attached bales don't 'move it around') and ii the actual
hub
, a nice touch as it is possible to easily slide the hub out of the bas and take it with you for use with a portable computer. A good solution to a common problem that works flawlessly, definitely recommended.
