Very accurate and helpful software
I had a
blood
pressure
monitor
but this is a good upgrade from the previous. It allow 2 people to monitor there blood pressure separately and you can very easily download your data to the
software
which comes with the monitor. The monitor keeps tract of the time of day so that the software can show if you took your pressure in the morning, during the day, or night. There are also markings on the blood pressure cuff to make sure you put it on correctly.
I heart my monitor
Alright, I'm not too happy about buying one of these, but since my doctor told me to buy a good one, I did some research and here's where I landed. Amazon's price blew away any local retailer. Too bad for t
hem
, but I just can't afford to pay twice as much locally.
This thing works great, and I can take measurements in the morning and at night and have it average my readings. My wife can also use it to show off while not messing up my history.
Good product!

Arm cuff hard to secure
I purchased this
monitor
and find it mostly easy to use. However, it is hard to tighten the arm cuff. When the cuff is too loose, the machine starts to inflate the cuff but then stops and gives an error. It takes me 2 or 3 times per use tog et the cuff attached correctly. I am not large or small .... a very average build ....

Good Blood Pressure Monitor
Appears to be very accurate. Easy to use.
Software
could be more detailed but is very useful to show the doctor on what your
blood
pressure
is doing throughout a 24 hour, 7 days a week period.
I would recommend this machine.

Omron HEM-790IT
We have had this product about a month now. It appears to be accurate, though I do not have a way to actually measure it. My wife took it with her to her doctor's appointment, where it essentially gave the same readings as their equipment, so we are pretty comfortable with the results. We have not used the ac adapter yet, only batteries. After little more than a month, both of us doing twice daily measurements, the batteries seem to be still going strong. My wife has been using a single reading, while I have been using the Tru-Read. Tru-Read makes 3 measurements and averages the results. I have done some single readings to compare, and haven't noticed any difference. I may switch to the single measurement mode to save time.
Loading the
software
was easy, and running it was just about as easy. I don't expect to do much more than present the data to our doctors. It was very easy to download the measurements to our PC and print out a monthly graph of the data. The data makes a lot more sense too, when you can see it altogether as a graph, rather than as a series of numbers.
In some of the other reviews the 780 was mentioned as the same device without the software. That may be true, but the 780 also does not have the necessary data port, nor does it come with the data cable, to be able to download the measurements. I'd say the $12 difference is worth it, especially if you want to share your data with your doctor, or keep a record.
