Good Phone
About 6 months of use, battery life is good and good reception. You'll get the most out of it with an unlimited data plan / internet. Some features and aps are flakey but overall the
phone
is great. Fits perfect in your pocket, simple, and fast! Mines locked to the carrier and all features and functions WORK. (Unlocked V3 wouldnt send picture messages.)Check it out at a local store first before you buy it.
Good cellphone!!!
I've had the Razor
V3xx
for about two weeks now. Now I'm a techie, but just because I'm a techie, not all of my toys have to be the "new hardware/software." I didn't buy into the Razor fad when it first came out. I've always been a Nokia fan. Plus I've had the Sony Ericsson w300i. I didn't care too much for
Motorola
. My mom has a Motorola, but it's a different style. So far her's works great. She's not technically inclined, but she gets by.
Now I don't need my cell
phone
to be a music player because I have the discontinued 30GB iPod (which I've dropped like three times on concrete and still plays!!!) I don't need to surf the web on it because I value screen size and besides I don't want to pay the extra money to surf the web when I have a laptop. I mainly use it just as a cellphone, but I like style.
I have some friends and coworkers who have the Razor (some have the V3xx and others have prior
version
s). I asked them about how's the reception, can they hear clearly when people are talking, can people they're talking to hear them clearly, and battery life. I've been on edge because of the prior slim designs, but this is a bit heavier. It feels durable and feels good. I've debated between this one and two Nokia versions (with AT&T, the 6555 and the upgraded version of the 6102).
So far I've been happy with the reception, volume, and battery life. I use it daily and near traffic. In all places, inside a store, next to the road with heavy traffic, inside a noisy bus and have been happy with the way it works. I heard them clearly and they heard me. I haven't had to say, "What was that?" yet.
If you value, programs/software on a cellphone, this is probably not what you're looking for (go for Nokia, as far as I know). If you want a cellphone and have it to be stylish, then yes this cellphone is for you. It's better than previous version of the Razor.
BTW, I wouldn't choose the iPhone. Don't go with the flow!!

Love the phone but text messaging is a pain!
I primarily use a cell
phone
for two things...talking on the phone and text messaging. This is my second
Razr
. I owned the first
version
Razr before this one. I like this phone a lot except for one thing which was also a problem with my first Razr (I was hoping they'd improved the problem but that doesn't seem to be the case). Does anyone else besides me have trouble with the keys during text messaging? The 7 and 9 keys are extremely difficult to depress when text messaging and often I find that those keys are skipped entirely in my messaging. I have to check and double check and often I have to depress the key several times, moving my finger around on the key to get it in just the right place (it seems that my finger needs to be on the extreme outside edge of those keys before they will work) before a letter shows up at all. THEN I have to get it on the correct letter. It's VERY frustrating! Anyone else have this trouble?
