Sunpah 383 flash

as always sunpak quality,but a manual setup flash,not dedicated to any camera,A good product ,but not what I wanted for my system.It works automaticly after calculations for feet and apeture.good iso numbers,with plenty of range & power,I rate it average for ease of use.

I agree with the other reviewers

I read all of the reviews before purchasing this product and it did perform just as described. I am very happy using it with my S9100 and have been able to shoot a lot more clear pictures with it than without it. The built-in flash was so limiting and now I can do so much more. The only draw back was that I had to read the owners manual in order to set it up correctly. I also followed some suggestions here and it worked out well too.

Good flash for the price

I use this flash in an off-camera setup with a remote. Because of this I sometimes miss the ability to zoom the flash head, but it's not a terrible inconvenience. When used on-camera or off the bounce/swivel head is very useful. The automatic sensor works as suggested. This flash will throw plenty of light for most people's needs. Refill times and battery life seem to be pretty good as well.

Not New

The strobe works as it should. However, the unit I received was supposed to be new. It wasn't. Packaged as new; under the wrappings the control panel on the back of the unit was scratched--it had been used. The cosmetic mars were inconsequential and did not affect performance when used with a hot shoe. Missing in the box was the synch cable. Sunpak uses a proprietary mini plug connector. There should have been a short cable with mini-plug to PC that allows use with other cameras, flashes and triggers. I reported this in previous e-mail to Amazon.

Very good GN power. Mutiple angle degrees. Very poowerful and great results.

No TTL, but good chance to learn the relationship between flash light and distance.

Operating board is very cheap quality. this one could be improved a little bit.

You pay what you get. Pretty good flash light. Very good GN power.
