works perfectly but the power cord is awkwardly short

I've used this AC adapter on airplanes and in various countries (US, UK, Australia, Netherlands) since I bought it. It works quite well. I've used it to power/charge my laptop and my blackberry. My only negative is that the power cord from adapter to the wall socket is very short. As a result, the adapter itself hangs from the wall, putting weight on the socket, and can actually be awkward to plug in. The weight can be a problem when you are in another country and have to use an adapter to plug into their sockets and the fit of the plug into the country adapter is not tight. A longer cord would have been much more practical.

Works great with HP pavilion laptop

I got my unit today (a refurbished one). It works great with my Hp
Pavilion laptop and even keeps charging battery during multitasking works. It come with 8 different tips for Toshiba, HP, Compaq, Sony and Dell laptops. As I understand for other brads of laptops you need to buy a suitable tip. It has enough power for my hungry HP laptop. It has car charger adapter and AIR? adapter too. I have not tried these adapters so I have no idea about them.
The power cord is too short and Kensington should improve this one.

Light-weight power for long flights

I have used this power adapter once since I bought it. It worked just as the advertisement promised. I need to read or write with an IBM laptop on long trans-pacific flights, and this product sounded like the best of what is available. I initially slipped the laptop battery out due to various comments I read on-line; but later found that was unnecessary if the battery was fully charged. So for reading and writing it is fine. I do not know if there is enough power to view a movie. In short, I am a satisfied customer and would recommend it to anyone. The light weight is a key attraction especially when one is hiking along the endless 'shopping malls' of many international airports.
