What took them so long to come up with this?
After having struggled with every other design of
telephone
recording
microphone, including the awful suction cup design (never sticks long enough to be useful, plus terrible sound quality all around) and the type that plug into the actual line between a corded phone handset and the dial pad), I finally discovered this
device
and I am enamored with the simplicity and effectiveness of its design. First, it is so comfortable that I often forget I am wearing it. Secondly, it records even better than my previous technique of aiming a shotgun mike at a conference phone, without compromising my in-call experience at all. Thirdly, although, as another reviewer mentioned, it does not record in stereo, I can imagine any applications (at least that apply to my work) where that feature might be useful. This is a high-quality piece of gear and it is at an affordable price. I've paid far more and received far less from competing products.
By the way, for the tech-curious, I am using the Sony Professional Portable 24-bit Linear Audio Recorder, which enables me to monitor my sound quality and to adjust as necessary. Other recorders with similar capabilities should perform equally as well. All of my problems with recording calls, whether on cell phone or landline, have been solved. Thanks,
Olympus

listen up!
simple and elegant. beats suction cup mics hands down! fine sound quality on both ends of conversations--way better than i expected. at $12, the price is right!
Works Fine
This product works great. Everything wrong with it is obvious by the nature of its design. You won't have any bad surprises if you buy it. The user has to put the
device
in his ear and keep the phone on that ear throughout the conversation in order for it to work. That's hardly convenient and makes it incompatible with a phone headset. But that's obvious from the way it works. That obvious inconvenience aside, the device works great with any kind of handset.

WORKS GREAT
Worth every penny, This is and excellent mic in everyway.
Buy it - you won't be dissappointed
Surprisingly effective and useful.
I also bought it to record some phone conversations with relatives about family history. It worked surprisingly well with the additional microphone ear piece.
Very easy to use, the ear piece slides into the ear of the person
recording
on the phone, the phone is then held up to the speaker on the outside of the earpiece and records both people on the phone.
