Very handy abd accurate.

I love this product, I can instantly get my son's temp every morning before daycare. The greatest thing was when we go to his Pediatrician, they have the same brand, just the upscaled clinical model, and it gives the same reading as mine! The only problem is you can only drop it about 400x before it goes kerplooey. I never had problems putting the battery in the thing or running it, maybe the reviewer who had this prob didn't realize it only takes one 9v??; pretty much a no brainer to use, etc... I'm looking to replace my 1st one that lasted over 3 years & tons of abuse.

Right On Target

This replaced my Braum Ear ThermoScan. I was was shocked that the Exergen is more on the money than the Braum. Remember to get the right read , the Exergen must cross the forehead into the hairline on a slight angle at a slow pace of 5 secounds.

It works!

I replaced a cheaper model (i think it is identical to the Safety First digital forehead thermometer) that DID NOT WORK with this Exergen model. I am very pleased with it. It works exactly as it says and I know it is accurate after testing it on myself several times and my sick 3-year-old. The other model was flimsy and completely inaccurate so I was hesitant to even try the Exergen model . . . but it is great! And by the way, ear thermometers have never worked well for us (very difficult to get a good reading, and you have to tug on a sore ear to do it), and many small children won't let you NEAR them with one. The forehead is the way to go with young kids!
